Shopify Rebellion’s Dota 2 roster has officially disbanded, with three players leaving the team. The unexpected duo of Arteezy and SaberLight will be staying with the organization. The departure of Abed Yusop, Cr1t-, and Fly marks the end of NA’s longest-running Dota 2 squad.
Despite playing together since 2016, Arteezy and Cr1t- were unable to secure a Valve Major or The International title. However, their consistent performance throughout the years kept their partnership intact. Shopify Rebellion, formerly known as Evil Geniuses, has always been considered a powerhouse in the Dota 2 scene with multiple top-four finishes.
Unfortunately, their stability did not translate into success at The International, as the team consistently underperformed and exited the tournament prematurely. This led to speculations of a full disbandment, but for now, only Arteezy and SaberLight remain on the team.
SaberLight jokingly leaked a potential all-star roster for Shopify Rebellion, mentioning names like Miracle, Jerax, and Bulba. If any of these players end up joining the team, it could generate significant interest from fans.
