Fans eager to get a taste of Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer before its official launch on November 10th can do so right now, legally and without any repercussions. The latest update for Call of Duty includes the pre-loaded files for MW3’s multiplayer, allowing players to access it offline. While online features are blocked, players can still enjoy a local multiplayer mode with bots, providing a sneak peek into the game’s new weapons, maps, and gameplay mechanics.
If you have pre-ordered the game digitally, you can access MW3’s options through the CoD HQ app. Although multiplayer and Zombies modes are locked, you can go offline by disabling internet access on your console or PC. This will enable a new option called Local Multiplayer, where you can set up games in various modes and maps and fill the lobby with bots to play against. It’s a great opportunity to practice and familiarize yourself with MW3’s features, especially if you’ve been playing the slower-paced MW2. Additionally, you can revisit classic MW2 maps like Afghan, Terminal, and Scrapyard.
Tomorrow, MW3’s servers will go online worldwide on PC at 11pm CT and on consoles at midnight in each region’s local time. Once the servers are live, all game modes, including multiplayer, Zombies, and the campaign, will be fully accessible. This early offline access serves as a preview and preparation for the full MW3 experience.
