Pokémon Go’s Worst Box Ever: Is It Worth the Price?

Tim Price

Pokémon Go offers a range of activities and items that players can purchase with PokéCoins. However, there is one recent bundle in the shop that may not be worth the cost. The Expert Box, priced at 1,100 PokéCoins, contains five Fast TMs and five Charged TMs. While this may seem appealing, players have deemed it as the worst box ever.

In a Reddit thread, a player shared a screenshot of the Expert Box and asked if it was the worst box ever. The general consensus among players was a resounding “yes.” Many commented that they had already deleted numerous Fast and Charged TMs because they had accumulated too many of them.

Unlike Elite TMs, which are rare and valuable, Fast and Charged TMs are quite common in Pokémon Go. These TMs allow Pokémon to learn new random Charged or Fast Attacks. Players can obtain them for free through various in-game activities such as raids, Research Breakthroughs, and Battle League competitions.

PokéCoins, on the other hand, are a valuable resource that can only be obtained through Gym defense or by spending real money. Therefore, spending them on the Expert Box just doesn’t seem worthwhile.

Some players even recalled another disappointing box that was available in the shop recently. This box contained only regular berries and was considered equally unworthy. With berries being easily obtainable through basic daily activities, purchasing the Berry box was a waste of PokéCoins.

It’s not uncommon for Pokémon Go’s shop boxes to generate controversy. Recently, an incubator box priced at the same amount as a AAA game caused a stir among players. However, the shop does offer a variety of high-value options, such as Remote Raid Pass boxes, which help balance out the disappointing choices.
