CS2 Bug Fixed: Valve Addresses Animation Desynchronization Issue

superadmin

Valve has finally resolved one of the most significant issues in CS2. The bug, which caused animations to become completely out of sync with the gameplay, had a detrimental impact on the overall quality of the game. After over a month, Valve stepped in and fixed the problem.

In an update on November 9th, Valve addressed the issue, resulting in overwhelmingly positive feedback from fans. Bullets in CS2 now accurately hit their intended targets, and the server no longer sends them to previous aiming positions.

A Reddit video showcased the bug before and after the update, garnering attention and praise for Valve’s prompt action. The video demonstrated how players’ inputs were previously buffered, leading to significant discrepancies between what was happening on the screen and how the server interpreted it.

“Easily the best change Valve has made since CS2’s official launch,” commented one popular Reddit user.

Following the release of CS2, players noticed significant problems with the game’s new sub-tick technology. This system timestamps inputs to accurately track actions such as firing a gun, moving, or aiming. While it worked well when functioning correctly, it often caused desynchronization issues with animations.

In the same update, Valve also improved bullet tracers, enhancing the accuracy of projectile trajectories. Although a minor issue, Valve may address this further in the future.

With each update, the CS2 community eagerly provides lists of demands to Valve on the CS2 Steam Community page. Many players request features that were already present in CS:GO, such as the “cl_righthand 0” command or game modes that were removed in CS2. Valve has announced the return of popular game modes and potentially new ones, but they have remained silent on other prominent CS:GO features that were removed in CS2.

Valve’s continuous updates and dedication to resolving major issues like this one are commendable. However, the decline in CS2’s player numbers has slowed down, suggesting that Valve’s efforts have paid off. Nevertheless, CS2 still has a long way to go to reach the heights of CS:GO.
