Overwatch 2 players are encountering a frustrating glitch in the Colesseo map that is causing them to get stuck just outside the spawn room. This issue is leading to lost matches as players are unable to move and become easy targets for the opposing team.
The glitch occurs when someone steps on the final checkpoint for the TW-1 robot, getting snagged on a specific spot on the rim. Once stuck, players remain immobilized until they die, leave and rejoin the game, or are rescued by a teammate. This leaves their team at a disadvantage, playing with one less player until someone takes action.
By the time the opposing team reaches the stuck player, they are often close to winning the match. Some players have reported being unable to kill themselves, prolonging their time stuck in place.
The pixel that causes this glitch is small and easy to get stuck on. Any character can walk onto the bugged part of the plate and become unable to move. While heroes like Ashe or Soldier can slowly chip away at their health, it is a time-consuming process.
The most effective solution to this bug is to seek assistance from teammates who have abilities to dislodge the stuck player. Heroes like Mei, Lifeweaver, or Symmetra can use their abilities to knock the player out of place. Using Symmetra’s teleporter is the quickest and easiest fix, but it requires a teammate to switch characters. Fortunately, the stuck player is right outside the spawn room, making it more convenient for the teammate.
It appears that this bug has been present in Overwatch for some time, as players have reported encountering it months ago. Many players expressed surprise that Blizzard has not yet patched this game-breaking spot. However, with recent updates and the focus on addressing major issues in Overwatch 2, there may be hope for a fix in the near future.
In the meantime, players are advised to be cautious when approaching the final checkpoint in Colesseo and to communicate with their teammates to avoid getting stuck in this glitched spot.
