Plankton’s Infinite Combo in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2

Tim Price

Plankton, the notorious villain from SpongeBob SquarePants, has a dirty secret in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. Not only is he a thief and poisoner, but he also possesses an unstoppable move that can decimate his opponents. Known as the Mecha Plobble, this combo allows Plankton to trap and pummel his foes into oblivion.

A player recently shared a video on Twitter showcasing this devastating technique. By initiating a grab, Plankton can unleash a series of jabs and wavedashes, relentlessly racking up damage and pushing his adversary towards the edge of the screen. To finish them off, he can utilize his side-B command grab or a charged attack, enhanced by his slimy powers for even deadlier results.

While reminiscent of the infamous “wobbling” technique in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the Mecha Plobble brings a fresh twist to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. Unlike wobbling, which was widely criticized in the competitive scene, Plankton’s combo is exclusive to him and helps level the playing field. It accentuates his punishing playstyle, compensating for his slow and predictable moveset.

Fortunately, the Mecha Plobble is not as broken as its Melee counterpart. It cannot endlessly combo opponents to absurd percentages, preventing match stalling. Although it requires some skill to execute, with wavedashes interspersed between jabs, it is not as effortless as wobbling. Furthermore, it only works on certain characters, depending on their falling speed or weight.

In many ways, the Mecha Plobble resembles the chain grabs seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Both techniques involve carrying opponents across the stage until there is no more room to continue the infinite. However, the Mecha Plobble is far less lethal than Melee wobbling, making it a potentially intriguing addition to the NASB2 metagame.

This combo grants Plankton a clear win condition and demands respect from his opponents. It adds depth to his gameplay and forces adversaries to approach him cautiously. After all, Plankton has always been known for his underhanded tactics, and now he can bring his deviousness into the world of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. But beware, for when Mr. Krabs enters the ring, he will show Plankton who truly reigns as the fast food tycoon of Bikini Bottom.
