The Ultimate VALORANT Premier Composition Revealed

Derek Morgan

For aspiring VALORANT pros, Premier is now more important than ever as it serves as the gateway to a pro playing career. Teams are searching for a reliable and fail-safe composition, and it seems they have found one.

During VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Three, the Premier season holds great significance as reaching the top division in Contenders is a requirement for qualifying for VCT Challengers. After just two weeks, the most relied upon composition in Premier play has emerged: Omen, Jett, Sova, Killjoy, and KAY/O, according to stats site Blitz.gg.

While Blitz.gg does not provide data for full compositions, we can infer from the agent pick rate data that these five agents are frequently picked together due to their popularity. Omen stands out with a pick rate of 15.5 percent, and all five agents have a pick rate of at least 10.8 percent. In comparison, the next highest agent, Cypher, only has a pick rate of 4.7 percent.

Although other agents can be substituted, these five agents form the standard and reliable composition that works well on maps like Split, Sunset, Ascent, Haven, Bind, and Lotus. The only exception is Breeze, where a controller like Viper would be more suitable than Omen.

This composition provides all the necessary utility for both attack and defense. Jett creates space and wields the primary Operator, Sova gathers information and provides post-plant value, Killjoy secures the defensive side and contributes to post-plant situations, Omen deploys smokes, and KAY/O fulfills multiple roles such as gathering information, throwing flashes, and clearing out spots with grenades.

With Ascent coming up this weekend, followed by Bind, Lotus, and Haven later in the Premier season, it will be challenging to find a more solid composition than this for those maps.
