Star AWPer degster has left fans wondering why he didn’t join top CS2 teams Fnatic and MOUZ. Despite being transfer-listed by OG in June, degster remained inactive and silent on the sidelines. However, on November 16, he finally shed light on the situation and clarified the events of the past few months.
In a recent Telegram post, degster revealed that his conversations with Fnatic and MOUZ over the summer were merely friendly discussions and not offers to buy. The teams had reached out to inquire about his goals and plans. Additionally, degster disclosed that one organization had approached OG with an almost laughable offer, suggesting they wanted him for free at an incredibly low price.
Degster’s exceptional skills as an AWPer make him one of the best in the world, boasting an impressive 1.15 rating in 2023 while playing for OG. His ability to communicate fluently in both Russian and English further adds to his value as a player, making him an attractive asset for international teams.
The current state of the Counter-Strike scene is highly unpredictable, with many teams taking advantage of CS2 to revamp their rosters. Therefore, it is highly likely that degster will find a new team for 2024.
One potential option for degster could be joining Cloud9, as the team has been without a dedicated AWPer since sh1ro’s departure in October.
