PlayStation 5 players now have the opportunity to play the highly acclaimed Baldur’s Gate 3 for free, but there’s a catch. The game is available as a two-hour trial exclusively for PlayStation Plus Premium Subscribers. To access this trial, players must subscribe to the service for $17.99.
While this may seem like a steep price, it’s actually a great deal for newcomers to the Baldur’s Gate franchise or those unfamiliar with Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). The trial serves as the perfect entry point, allowing players to decide if they want to invest in the full game.
Two hours is ample time to get a substantial taste of what Baldur’s Gate 3 has to offer. It’s a fantastic opportunity for players to try out this top-tier title and inevitably become hooked on its captivating gameplay.
Personally, I had no prior experience with Baldur’s Gate or D&D before playing Baldur’s Gate 3. I entered the game with low expectations and no idea if I would enjoy it. However, it completely exceeded my expectations and left me thoroughly impressed.
I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Series X|S so I can introduce my wife to the unique and enchanting world created by Larian Studios. This will be a new experience for me as my previous playthroughs on PC were single-player.
Considering the two-hour trial available on PS5, I am seriously contemplating signing up for a PS Plus Premium subscription so my wife can also try the game before I decide to purchase it on Xbox. It’s a fantastic way to encourage players to explore what Baldur’s Gate 3 has to offer.
The Baldur’s Gate 3 trial is certainly more enticing than the recently announced hour-long trial of Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which personally doesn’t interest me in the slightest.
