Summoners, get ready for an epic transformation! League of Legends is bringing a wave of exciting new content for the new year, including some major changes to the beloved purple worm, Baron Nashor. These updates will make Baron Nashor more formidable than ever before.
In 2024, Baron Nashor will not only receive a visual makeover but will also gain the ability to transform into three unique forms during a game: Territorial Baron, Hunting Baron, and All-Seeing Baron. Each form comes with its own set of abilities and brings about changes to the terrain, adding new paths and obstacles for teams to navigate.
Territorial Baron, the first form, possesses the power to pull champions towards him, making it risky for squishier champions to get too close. Additionally, he creates a small wall in front of the pit entrance, adding a strategic element for teams attempting to defeat him.
Hunting Baron, the second form, is a deadly adversary that unleashes lightning strikes from above, forcing players to dodge his attacks. Unlike the other forms, Hunting Baron does not alter the terrain, allowing players more freedom to maneuver and avoid his devastating abilities.
Lastly, the All-Seeing Baron opens a Void Rift within the pit, dealing damage over time to any players caught within its area of effect. The front of the pit is closed off, while the sides are opened up, creating a tunnel-like passage through the area. This unique form of Baron’s pit presents unprecedented opportunities for gameplay in League.
These changes to Baron Nashor are just a taste of what Riot Games has in store for Summoner’s Rift in 2024. Expect new Void-corrupted buffs, menacing Voidgrub monsters, and significant alterations to the terrain and brush across the map. These exciting updates are set to hit the League PBE today, Nov. 20.
