A visual bug in VALORANT involving Viper’s Poison Orb ability is causing a major distraction for the enemy team. By quickly popping and picking up the orb after placing it, players can create the illusion of two Poison Orbs being deployed in rapid succession. This small difference in visuals can have a significant impact in the fast-paced game, where every visual stimulus matters.
The bug, known as the “Viper Double Smoke” trick, was first discovered by popular YouTuber Harsh Khelraay, who is well-known for his expertise with the toxic controller agent. It is similar to another popular trick called the Swoop Peak, which provides a slight vision advantage by recalling an activated Poison Orb.
To recreate the bug, players simply need to place the orb, activate it, and then recall it using the Q key immediately after activation. This creates the illusion of two orbs being deployed in quick succession. You can watch a video demonstration for a better understanding.
Despite Viper being considered “broken” due to her ability to recall smoke, this bug adds another layer of unpredictability to her gameplay. Players can use these tricks to confuse and outsmart their opponents, especially in high Elo matches where aim is usually excellent.
Viper enthusiasts around the world are embracing these sneaky playstyles to baffle their enemies, and while Riot Games may eventually address this bug, for now, it remains a harmless and fun trick to try out in VALORANT games.
