The highly anticipated Season of Discovery for World of Warcraft Classic is just around the corner, with its release date scheduled for November 30th. Fans are eagerly preparing for the launch and have expressed their excitement for some of the new features.
One Reddit user, Iskahndar, shared their enthusiasm for the Season of Discovery, highlighting the introduction of Runes, new abilities for classes, and dungeons as amazing changes. However, they believe the best change is Blizzard’s decision to stagger leveling and content in smaller increments.
In Season of Discovery, the level cap will start at 25 and gradually increase with each update. The first update will raise the cap to level 40, followed by level 50 in the second update, and finally reaching the maximum level of 60 in WoW Classic. This approach allows both dedicated players and those with a more casual playstyle to level up, explore the new Azeroth, and prepare for future updates.
Another Reddit user, theoneru, expressed their appreciation for the impact of changing level caps on gameplay. They mentioned how the main hub for the Alliance might shift to Darnassus with Ashenvale PvP and BFD raid, while the Horde’s main hub could become Undercity by the time the SM raid is released. Additionally, questing gear that was previously considered average suddenly becomes the best gear available in this phase of the game.
Personally, I find this change to be fantastic, but I must admit that the addition of new abilities to classes is equally exciting. The introduction of Runes seems to align with the spirit of WoW Classic and adds a significant amount of depth to all classes, allowing for new roles and playstyles. Although fans have only had a glimpse of the game at BlizzCon 2023, they will finally get to experience and explore the Season of Discovery once it is released on November 30th.
