Blizzard Entertainment recently unveiled the Tabard of Brilliance as the next Amazon Prime Gaming reward, valued at $500. However, World of Warcraft players are criticizing the unique tabard for its unattractive design. The item will be available to all Prime Gaming subscribers from Aug. 24 to Sept. 28.
The Tabard of Brilliance originally came from The World of Warcraft Trading Card Game and was previously only obtainable by collecting 2,000 Upper Deck points, a system that was discontinued in 2010. Due to its rarity, the tabard’s estimated price was nearly $500.
Despite being one of only eight Epic tabards in the game, players on WoW’s subreddit are harshly labeling the item as ugly. Some players even commented that it looked good 12 years ago.
While rare TCG items have become more accessible for free, there are still players who have spent significant amounts of gold or real money to acquire this tabard. However, its value will now decrease significantly as it becomes available in the Black Market Auction House.
