Bethesda’s Pete Hines reveals that players will have to work their way up to access the best ships in Starfield.
In the final week before Starfield’s early access period, Bethesda fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to explore the company’s first new IP in 25 years. With a vast universe of over a thousand planets and the ability to customize ships, there’s plenty to keep players engaged.
However, during a Twitch Q&A at Gamescom, Hines shared that players will need to put in effort to pilot the top-tier ships. He emphasized that specific ship classes require skill and experience, meaning players can’t immediately jump into the best ships available.
This progression system adds depth to Starfield’s gameplay, but it may pose a challenge for players who become attached to their initial ship. While multiple ships can be owned, there is likely a cap, forcing players to make tough decisions when acquiring new vessels.
