Arena Mode Returning to League of Legends in December 2023

superadmin

Ever since its release earlier this summer, Arena has become a popular game mode in League of Legends. Although it is ending today with the Soul Fighter event, players won’t have to wait too long to play it again.

Riot Games has confirmed that Arena will be back in the client in a few months, tentatively in December 2023. The mode will come with new augments, improved champion diversity, a wider meta, map adjustments, and even new ways to play with more than one friend.

Arena offers fast-paced gameplay, shorter game times, and unique interactions with champions, items, and augments. It appeals to both competitive ranked players and casual friends. Similar to Teamfight Tactics’ Double Up mode, it eliminates the need for farming and scaling, allowing players to jump into action from the start.

One of the most-requested features for Arena was the ability to queue up with multiple sets of friends. Riot is working on implementing this, but they need to ensure it doesn’t lead to boosting in the ranked ladder.

Riot has mentioned that Arena may not become a permanent game mode unless there is a significant and sustained player response. However, if the community continues to show support, there is a possibility of it becoming a permanent addition to the client.

The Soul Fighter event ends on Monday, August 28, so make sure to enjoy Arena while you still can.
