Call of Duty’s collaborations have no limits. After featuring hip hop artists like Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage, as well as athletes like Kevin Durant and even Lara Croft, it seems that pop music might be the next genre to join the CoD universe. A recent social media post has sparked speculation about a potential collaboration with a popular pop artist.
On January 13, singer, songwriter, and producer Finneas expressed his desire to score a Call of Duty game. Infinity Ward, the creators of Modern Warfare 2, quoted his post today, August 29, with an intriguing “Ok” and an eyes emoji, hinting at a possible partnership with the star.
Finneas is renowned for producing and writing music for his sister, pop sensation Billie Eilish. However, he is also a talented singer and songwriter in his own right, often performing alongside Eilish in concerts worldwide.
What makes this post particularly interesting is that it comes from Infinity Ward, suggesting that any collaboration would likely occur during the final months of Modern Warfare 2 before the release of Modern Warfare 3 on November 10.
Finneas has previously shown his interest in Call of Duty, even suggesting on March 18, 2021, that multiplayer maps based on TV show locations should be created. He expressed excitement about playing CoD in the middle of Dunder Mifflin, referencing the popular TV series “The Office.”
With season six of Modern Warfare 2 set to launch in a few weeks, fans won’t have to wait long to discover what Finneas and Activision have in store. Until then, speculation will continue to run wild.
MW2’s season six is expected to begin on either September 26 or 27, followed by the release of MW3 on November 10.
