There are numerous humiliating and infuriating ways to meet your demise in a CS:GO competitive match. From knife kills to direct grenade hits, nothing compares to the sheer embarrassment of being killed by a Zeus. And what about getting tased not just once, but five times in a single game?
A player, who goes by the name “Oh C’mon,” experienced this nightmare scenario in a short competitive match on Mirage. The video, posted on Reddit on August 29th, showcased all five instances of “Oh C’mon” being mercilessly killed by the infamous “ZIPZAP” clan.
One member of the clan, known as “Zeus Lee,” managed to catch our unfortunate victim twice in the same position. Despite the initial death, “Oh C’mon” foolishly pushed through top mid to T spawn, only to be zapped again. It’s safe to say that caution was not their strong suit.
Even on the Terrorist side, “Oh C’mon” couldn’t escape the wrath of the ZIPZAP clan. In one instance, they were caught off guard while planting the bomb on B site. The ZIPZAP clan’s Zeus technique was clearly well-practiced and they continued to amp up their efforts throughout the map.
In total, “Oh C’mon” fell victim to the Zeus five times. This is an absurd number of deaths, especially considering the short duration of the match. It’s truly shocking.
The Zeus is a relatively cheap weapon, costing only $200 in CS:GO. While its effectiveness is limited due to its single charge and short one-hit kill range, it has proven to be effective in certain situations. Teams often purchase the Zeus on the CT side when low on cash, hoping to zap an enemy and upgrade to a rifle.
However, the true power of the Zeus lies in its ability to mentally destroy opponents. Dying once to a Zeus may elicit a chuckle and a “well played” in chat, but multiple deaths can lead to extreme frustration.
One sympathetic observer felt sorry for “Oh C’mon,” not only because they were tased five times, but also because the embarrassing clips were shared online, amplifying their torment. Fortunately, “Oh C’mon” seemed to take it in stride, joking and laughing in chat.
When facing an opponent with a Zeus, it’s best to keep your distance and hope they miss. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself respawning in the next round.
