Valve Could Have Organized a Second CS:GO Major This Year, Players Say

superadmin

Counter-Strike players are convinced that Valve had the opportunity to host a second CS:GO Major this year, despite the absence of a release date for CS2. Expressing their frustration, players argue that it has been over five months since the announcement of CS2, and there is still much to be tested in the beta version. They believe that holding another CS:GO Major would not have had a negative impact on the esports scene, as CS2 is expected to be released no earlier than September.

While some players empathize with Valve’s perspective, suggesting that the company may have shifted its focus solely to CS2, others remain dissatisfied with the lack of progress. Inferno, for example, has not yet been released in CS2’s beta version.

CS2 was announced on March 23, and although Valve has distributed keys to select players, little has changed since then, and no release date has been mentioned. The community’s initial excitement for CS2’s release has now turned into frustration, as Valve remains silent and more maps require testing before the game can be launched.

Overall, players are eager for the release of CS2 but are growing increasingly impatient with the current state of affairs.
