In an exciting update for Pokémon Go fans, players will soon have the opportunity to obtain a second Master Ball, one of the game’s most sought-after items. This can be achieved by completing a series of challenges as part of the Timed Investigation: Master Ball, which is being introduced in the upcoming Adventures Abound season starting on September 1st. However, players must complete the challenges before November 21st to earn the Master Ball. For those who miss out, there will be another chance to unlock it by purchasing a Special Research ticket after the season ends.
The Master Ball, known for its guaranteed catch rate, was first introduced in Pokémon Go after a long six-year wait. It was initially tied to Special Research, making it a rare and valuable item in a player’s inventory. Now, players will have the opportunity to possess two Master Balls, much to their delight.
Following Niantic’s announcement, players expressed their excitement about the news. One player commented, “Nice, I can finally stop hoarding my Master Ball.” Another player mentioned, “I think it means that I will hoard two Master Balls instead of one,” indicating a more cautious approach.
This difference in opinion sparked discussions among players about the possibility of earning one Master Ball per season in the future. If this were the case, players would no longer need to hoard them and could use them more frequently. One player stated, “That would make it common enough that I actually use them.”
Aside from the Master Ball, the Adventures Abound season offers other exciting content. Players can capture new Pokémon from the Paldea region, and the Shadow Raid line-up is finally changing. However, the chance to obtain another Master Ball remains the season’s main attraction, potentially marking a new era where players have an abundance of these coveted items.
