Don’t Play Pokémon Go When You’re Sleepy: Players Share Their Regrets

superadmin

Pokémon Go may not be a complex game, but it requires a lot of grinding to catch your dream creatures. And once you do, it’s crucial to keep them safe. That’s why we’re here to tell you: “Don’t play PoGo sleepy.” Numerous players have made costly mistakes while drowsy, and you definitely don’t want to repeat them.

In a Reddit post dated Sept. 3, a player named PsyopVet shared a painful experience that highlights the importance of being wide awake when launching Pokémon Go. During their late-night Uber shift, the player managed to catch their favorite Eevee in a rare ‘hundo’ form, which then evolved into a Jolteon. Hundo Pokémons are highly coveted due to their 100 percent Individual Values (IV) and are considered even rarer than Shiny Pokémon. Naturally, the player was thrilled.

However, later on, while feeling sleepy, they made a grave mistake. They wanted to transfer a few unwanted Pokémons but accidentally transferred the Jolteon instead. It wasn’t until they woke up that they realized their error, and they’ve been regretting playing Pokémon Go while tired ever since. “Don’t play sleepy!” the player warned, urging the community to be cautious.

You might think that the chances of making similar blunders due to sleepiness are low, but the community has proven otherwise. Another player, for instance, mistook Pokéballs for Raspberries and ended up deleting those valuable tools simply because they were tired. And they’re not alone. “I literally did that this morning and almost cried lol. I had over 300,” another player confessed. So, be careful, as it seems all too easy to accidentally delete Pokéballs.

But it’s not just Pokéballs that players have mistakenly deleted. Some have also lost special items like Fast TMs and even thrown away a rare Master Ball. It’s clear that we need to protect ourselves from such costly mistakes. Fortunately, there is a way to prevent accidental transfers or deletions.

One player named Beanman2514 suggested ‘favoriting’ Shiny and Hundo Pokémon to avoid such mishaps. Another player named Runescaper4good proposed creating a manual search string that excludes items and creatures you care about. “It’s a very simple solution that too many people in this game don’t take advantage of,” they shared.

So, if you can’t trust your sleepy self with your precious Pokémon Go inventory, we highly recommend taking precautions right away.
