The upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, titled The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, will introduce new Pokémon breeds and change the unique typing of Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros. Currently, this Pokémon is the only Fighting/Fire-type in the franchise, apart from three Starter lines: Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar. However, with the release of the DLC, Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros will have to share its typing with these three Starter Pokémon.
Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros has been a standout Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet due to its exclusive dual typing. It has been featured in challenging Tera Raids like the Unrivaled Samurott event and possesses strong physical attacks in both Fire and Fighting types. Its abilities, Intimidate and Anger Point, further enhance its battle prowess. Being a regional and version-exclusive Pokémon adds to its uniqueness.
Unfortunately, the days of Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros as the sole Fighting/Fire-type Pokémon in the game are numbered. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, specifically Part II: The Indigo Disk, will introduce all Starter Pokémon from previous generations into Scarlet and Violet. This means that Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar will join the game, sharing the same typing as Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros.
While Blaze Breed Tauros can currently boast its exclusive typing, it will soon face competition for the title of the best Fighting/Fire-type Pokémon in the game. The release of The Indigo Disk in winter will mark the arrival of the other Starter Pokémon, making Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros just one of many Pokémon with this typing.
