ZETA DIVISION Puts Entire VALORANT Roster Up for Sale, Looking for Fresh Start in 2024

superadmin

Popular Japanese organization ZETA DIVISION is shaking things up as they prepare for the new year. After a string of disappointing performances in international VALORANT events, the team has decided to put their entire roster up for sale. They are actively seeking a new lineup to start fresh in 2024.

ZETA DIVISION had hinted at potential roster changes last month when they announced an open application period and the possibility of tryouts for their main lineup. While there is a chance that some players may return to the organization, ZETA DIVISION is prepared to part ways with their current squad if necessary.

The team’s current roster includes some of the top VALORANT players in Japan, such as in-game leader Koji “Laz” Ushida, who is widely regarded as the region’s best player. Another standout player is Shota “SugarZ3ro” Watanabe, a talented 20-year-old Controller with immense potential.

Unfortunately, this past year has been underwhelming for ZETA DIVISION. They suffered early exits at the LOCK//IN tournament in São Paulo and struggled in the Pacific League, finishing fourth in the regular season. However, they managed to secure a spot at Champions by defeating Team Secret in the Last Chance Qualifier.

At Champions, ZETA DIVISION faced difficulties in the group stage, losing to FNATIC and NRG Esports in consecutive series. Overall, the team’s lackluster performance has prompted them to make significant changes in order to steer their future in a different direction for 2024.
