AK-47 in CS2: Players Disappointed with Weapon’s Performance

superadmin

Players in the Counter-Strike community are expressing their disappointment with the performance of the AK-47 in CS2. Despite the developers’ intention to maintain the same spray pattern as in CS:GO, many players are finding it difficult to secure kills when spraying with the AK-47 in CS2.

One Redditor shared their frustration, stating that if they fail to hit a headshot within the first few bullets, they feel helpless against opponents using other guns. This sentiment is echoed by professional player Ricky “floppy” Kemery, who described the spraying experience as “random” in a recent CS2 discussion on Twitter.

The AK-47 is a crucial weapon in the Counter-Strike meta, particularly for Terrorists during full-buy rounds. Its underperformance in CS2 poses a significant problem for the game, as it is meant to be one of the best weapons available.

While Valve has yet to address the issue, some players have discovered a temporary solution to make the CS2 AK-47 feel more similar to its CS:GO counterpart. By utilizing specific commands such as “cl_interp” and “cl_updaterate 128,” players have reported an improvement in the gun’s performance, reducing input lag and making the gameplay smoother.

It is important to remember that CS2 is still in beta, and these issues are expected to arise. Valve relies on valuable feedback from players to ensure the game’s successful release this summer.
