Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Receives Patch to Improve Performance

superadmin

Respawn, the developers of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, have released a new patch to address the game’s biggest launch issue. While it may not be a contender for “Game of the Year,” the developers are committed to keeping the game updated and improving the player experience.

Patch Seven, available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, focuses on optimizing performance. The console’s performance mode has been completely reworked, resulting in a solid 60 FPS. This improvement is thanks to various GPU and CPU optimizations. PC players will also benefit from performance and optimization improvements, including the highly anticipated DLSS support feature.

When Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released in April, it received praise for its single-player experience and enhancements compared to its predecessor, Fallen Order. However, the game’s performance issues were a significant drawback. Players on powerful PCs struggled to achieve a smooth 60 frames per second, experiencing stuttering, lag, screen tearing, and crashes. Even the Xbox Series S and the original performance mode on Series X had their share of performance problems.

Unfortunately, it has become common for AAA titles to be released without proper optimization, requiring patches to improve performance later on. Baldur’s Gate 3 and the recently released Starfield have already addressed performance issues in their early patches.

If the game’s performance deterred you from playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, now is the perfect time to give it a try. With the latest patch, the game is in its best state yet, offering an improved and smoother gaming experience.
