Starfield Receives Mixed User Reviews on Metacritic

superadmin

Starfield, the highly anticipated space-based epic from Bethesda, has received a barrage of negative user reviews on Metacritic. While the game has garnered a respectable 87 out of 100 from critics, the general public has been far less forgiving.

Out of a total of 5,280 ratings, Starfield has accumulated 2,279 negative reviews and 2,443 positive reviews, leaving the rest somewhere in between. This has resulted in a lackluster user score of 5.6 out of 10 on Metacritic, with hundreds of negative reviews being added daily.

The main complaints from players revolve around poor optimization and FPS issues. However, there are also players who have created accounts to counteract the review bombs and urge others not to be swayed by the negativity.

Despite the negative reviews, Starfield has not been a failure for Bethesda. The game has achieved remarkable sales figures, surpassing milestones and breaking records. Within its first 27 hours of release, it garnered over one million concurrent users and reached 300,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, surpassing the record set by Skyrim.

While review bombs remain a concern for Bethesda, the game’s success in terms of sales and player engagement suggests that it is still on track to achieve further milestones. It seems that the negative reviews have not hindered its progress.
