T1 Makes Major Roster Changes After Disappointing Performance in VCT 2023 Champions

superadmin

T1, the third-ranked VALORANT team in South Korea, has made significant changes to its roster following a disappointing elimination from Group B in the VCT 2023 Champions. More than half of the team has been replaced, with three new players joining the lineup.

Outgoing Players Incoming Players
Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom Kevin “xccurate” Susanto
Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh Lee “k1Ng” Seung-won
Kang “iNTRO” Seung-gyun Ham “iZu” Woo-ju

T1’s decision to overhaul their roster comes after a series of disappointing performances in top-tier events. The team failed to advance beyond the Round of 16 in LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023 and struggled in the Group stages of both Champions and Masters Tokyo earlier this year.

The new additions to T1’s roster include Kevin “xccurate” Susanto, a prominent CS:GO veteran from Indonesia, Lee “k1Ng” Seung-won, a seasoned player from South Korea, and Ham “iZu” Woo-ju, who has been teamless for the past three months.

K1Ng, known for his expertise in playing Killjoy and Cypher, has previously played for Gen.G and DRX. Xccurate, a former CS:GO pro, retired from the scene in 2022 and has now transitioned to VALORANT. iZu, a duelist main, previously played for Jadeite.

T1 hopes that these roster changes will help them improve their performance and achieve better results in future tournaments.
