Counter-Strike esports fans were outraged when Dosia’s nade graffiti was removed in CS2. However, Dosia himself has put an end to the controversy with a touching message.
On September 11, the former CS:GO pro expressed that he doesn’t care about the removal of the graffiti from the map. He emphasized that what truly matters is that the play will forever remain in the memories and hearts of the fans.
Dosia’s graffiti commemorated his incredible play during the PGL Major Kraków 2017 final between Gambit Esports and Immortals. In that match, Dosia threw an HE Grenade into the pit on Inferno’s A site, weakening two Immortals players enough for them to be killed by the bomb blast. This play had a significant impact on the game, as it severely damaged Immortals’ economy and allowed Gambit to secure victory in the Major.
The graffiti, which depicted a HE Grenade held with two hands, symbolizing the players who fell victim to Dosia’s play, was considered one of the most iconic moments in CS:GO history. It was one of the five plays immortalized by Valve through graffiti, alongside coldzera, olofmeister, s1mple, and Fnatic.
Although the reasons behind the removal of the graffiti in CS2 remain unknown, Dosia reminded everyone that what truly matters is the lasting impact of the play. While the graffiti may be gone, Dosia’s incredible moment will forever be cherished by fans.
