A new glitch in CS2 is causing frustration among players as character models are seen firing and bending around corners, reminiscent of the movie “Wanted”. This issue is particularly prevalent in Premier ranked matchmaking, with players experiencing their bullets hitting them even when they are behind cover.
The glitch has been observed on the Inferno map, where enemy character models can be seen moving behind cover in areas like CT spawn, but their bullets still manage to hit players around the edge of the wall. This movement glitch highlights the urgent need for repairs in CS2’s movement mechanics.
Players have voiced their complaints to Valve through a Reddit post on September 11th, adding to the growing list of concerns with the Counter-Strike sequel beta test. As access to the game has opened up over the past few weeks, more players have encountered this glitch.
One community member described CS2’s new character models as “absolutely unhittable,” especially when the player’s connection to the server is poor. This glitch makes jiggle-peeking significantly more overpowered than in CS:GO, the previous installment of the game.
Jiggle-peeking and peeker’s advantage were not major issues in the classic FPS game, but CS2 has taken it to a new level. Players find it difficult to hit opponents jiggling around corners, and this problem is exacerbated by the wiggly leg animations of the character models in CS2. The animations, along with the ability to see one’s own feet and legs when looking down, contribute to the overall problem.
While it may seem advantageous to escape around a corner, CS2’s glitchy character model movement affects both the player escaping and the one attacking. Videos of players getting shot in the head around corners have flooded the community, leaving victims confused and frustrated.
It is hoped that Valve is aware of and addressing this issue with CS2’s character model movement based on the feedback from players.
