Deku’s Smash Returns to Fortnite, Community Concerned About Game Balance

superadmin

Fortnite players are expressing their concerns about the return of Deku’s Smash ability in the game. The powerful Mythic ability, which caused havoc in 2022, has made a comeback alongside new My Hero Academia skins. Many players fear that this ability will disrupt the balance of the current season.

On September 12, a Reddit thread emerged where gamers rallied against the Deku Smash, suggesting that it would have a significant impact on the game. Some players proposed nerfing the ability to make it more manageable, but with the next patch scheduled in two weeks, it is unlikely that any changes will be made soon.

Despite the limited duration of the Deku Smash’s presence in Fortnite, some players have expressed their intention to stop playing until it is removed. However, others have found a potential countermeasure in Todoroki’s Ice-wall ability, which was introduced in the recent v26.10 update. Players believe that this ability is more balanced compared to the Smash, which remains unchanged.

Alongside the return of the Deku Smash, the mid-September update also introduced My Hero Academia characters as skins, including Shoto Todoroki, Mina Ashido, and Eijiro Kirishima. Todoroki Quests and All-Star Drops were also added to enhance the gaming experience.

While the community is currently focused on the concerns surrounding the Deku Smash, there is another impending addition that is causing even more anticipation: Lightsabers. It seems that the Smash may only hold the title of the most disliked returning item for a few days or weeks.
