Apex Legends players are fed up with the chaos caused by Revenant Reborn since his rework in August 2023. After a month of carnage, the community is demanding nerfs for his powerful ultimate ability.
Revenant’s Forged Shadows ultimate has become one of the most feared abilities in Season 18, leading to a significant increase in his pick rate. However, players believe that the ability is currently too overpowered and are offering potential tweaks to balance it.
Revenant’s ultimate ability provides him with a 75-health Shadow Shroud that lasts for up to 25 seconds. While it does increase his hitbox, making him easier to hit, some players argue that it doesn’t extend far enough to make a significant difference. Additionally, when Revenant knocks an opponent, his shield is completely replenished, allowing him to potentially eliminate an entire enemy squad.
This imbalance becomes particularly evident in the final ring, where it is nearly impossible to take down a Revenant, especially if there are multiple squads nearby. To address this issue, players suggest reducing the amount of shield replenished after a knock to 50 health. This change would make it more manageable to survive against an ult-using Revenant Reborn.
Until these nerfs are implemented, some players have resorted to avoiding Revenant at all costs. Many admit that encountering a Revenant immediately sets them up for a difficult battle or even a guaranteed loss. Duo lobbies, in particular, seem to be the worst place to face a Revenant, according to the community.
Players are hopeful that changes will be made to Revenant’s kit at the start of the next season. However, until the Oct. 30 patch is released, Revenant may continue to dominate as a meta monster.
