NBA 2K24 Patch Notes v1.2: Fans Disappointed as MyCAREER Badge Regression Issue Remains Unaddressed

superadmin

NBA 2K24 has received its first patch, but fans are disappointed that the biggest concern in MyCAREER has not been addressed. The patch primarily focuses on performance improvements for current-gen consoles, but players are still waiting for a fix to the new badge regression system.

The new badge system in MyCAREER allows badges to regress if they are not used during gameplay. This has frustrated players, especially since there have been reports of badge regression occurring even after using them in games. A glitch that allowed players to apply the Floor Setter to multiple badges provided a temporary solution, but it has now been fixed in the latest patch.

Unfortunately, the v1.2 patch does not address the general badge regression issue. Players will have to wait for a major patch promised before season two, which could take up to three weeks. However, there is no guarantee that the issue will be resolved in the upcoming patch.

Aside from the badge regression problem, the v1.2 patch focuses on fixing bugs, improving performance and stability, and making adjustments to in-game modes. The Floor Setter glitch has been resolved, and there have been fixes to game stability in The City. Other fixes include addressing quest completion difficulties, resolving hang issues, and adjusting difficulty levels in MyTEAM challenges.

Here are the full NBA 2K24 v1.2 patch notes:

Gameplay
– Fixed an issue causing physics to break during controllable rim hangs.
The City
– Numerous fixes to game stability in The City.
– Resolved stuttering issue on RISE affiliation courts.
– Fixed joining friends in Gatorade Rental Courts through the Social Menu.

MyCareer/Quests/Progression
– Adjusted Minimizer quest for easier completion.
– Fixed rare hang issue when loading into a MyCAREER save.
– Addressed issue preventing advancement to the second NBA season.
– Resolved hang issue when heading to the arena floor before NBA games.
– Michael Jordan can no longer be passed on the GOAT tier list before winning the seventh championship.
– Users can no longer apply the same Floor Setter to multiple badges.

MyTeam
– Resolved issues with games played after Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games.
– Lowered difficulty of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games against the CPU to Pro.
– Added ability to select lineup before entering Triple Threat Online: Co-Op.

MyNBA
– Resolved hang issue in Trade Finder menu under certain conditions.
– Fixed incorrect rebranding of the Warriors in future seasons in MyNBA.

While the badge regression issue remains unresolved, there are still ways to create a powerful MyCAREER build. Players can focus on perfecting their jumpshot or dominating the post with a strong center build. Badges may not be everything when you have other skills to rely on.
