Sentinels Adds Zellsis as Substitute, Bolstering VALORANT Roster

superadmin

Sentinels, the renowned VALORANT team, is making a strategic addition to its roster by bringing on board Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro as a substitute player. With his versatile agent pool and experience in various roles, Zellsis will be readily available to step in for any member of the starting lineup when needed.

Zellsis previously had a brief but memorable stint with Sentinels, teaming up with streaming sensation and former CS:GO pro shroud for the 2022 North American LCQ. Despite their efforts alongside TenZ and former Sentinels players ShahZaM and dapr, the team fell short against The Guard and eventual LCQ champions 100 Thieves.

Although Zellsis initially believed he would retain a starting position with Sentinels for the 2023 season, the team ultimately decided to part ways with him in August. After a short return to Version1, Zellsis joined Cloud9 for the first VCT Americas season in 2023. Despite the C9 “superteam” not lasting long, the team still performed admirably in the Americas region, even with two unproven rookies. Recently, Zellsis announced that he has become an unrestricted free agent.

Looking ahead to the start of the 2024 season, Sentinels is expected to field a starting roster consisting of TenZ, zekken, Sacy, pANcada, and johnqt, with Zellsis serving as a substitute. It is anticipated that fewer teams will utilize substitutes this year due to potential budget constraints, as some teams are reportedly considering reduced player spending. Additionally, Riot no longer mandates teams to have six players on their roster.
