Wingman in VALORANT: Fans Suggest Buffs for Everyone’s Favorite Sidekick

superadmin

Fans of VALORANT are calling for buffs to be given to Wingman, the beloved sidekick in the game. While Riot Games has been focused on balancing maps and agents, players believe it’s time to give some attention to enhancing Wingman’s abilities.

A recent post in the VALORANT community suggested a quirky idea of allowing Wingman to resurrect KAY/O when he falls during his ultimate. Although the original post may have been made in jest, other players joined in, expressing their desire to see Wingman interact with more objects in the game.

Currently, Wingman can only interact with the spike, being able to carry and plant it at designated locations, as well as defuse it. Additionally, Wingman can be deployed to expose enemy positions by running and growling towards them. While players find these interactions fun, they believe it would be even more enjoyable if Wingman could do more.

During the VCT Champions 2023 event in Los Angeles, the crowd cheered every time a player used Wingman to plant the spike. Wingman has become a fan-favorite character due to his endearing nature and helpfulness.

Some players suggested that Wingman should be able to open doors in the game. Many VALORANT maps feature doors that can be opened and closed using levers, switches, or by taking damage. If Wingman could push buttons or pull levers, it would save time for teammates and add an interesting dynamic to gameplay. However, the main challenge with this idea is that Wingman’s distinct sound and footsteps would give away the fact that a real player is not operating the door.

Players also discussed the mechanics of this interaction, questioning whether Wingman would stun enemies on his way to the switch or if he would need to be locked into the action like when planting the bomb.

Regardless of whether Wingman receives any buffs, he will continue to be a beloved ally for VALORANT players worldwide.
