Spider-Man 2: New Gameplay Trailer Teases Possible Inclusion of Mysterio

superadmin

Excitement is building for the release of Spider-Man 2, and a recent gameplay trailer from PlayStation’s State of Play event has fans buzzing with anticipation. The trailer revealed that players will have a whopping 65 suits to collect for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and hinted at the inclusion of more villains than previously shown.

Previous trailers showcased Kraven the Hunter, Venom, and the Lizard as adversaries for the two Spideys, but there are still more villains yet to be confirmed. However, fans believe they may have discovered a new reveal in the latest trailer.

The gameplay footage showcased new fast travel mechanics and the ability to switch between Peter and Miles seamlessly. It also provided an overview of the map, which seemed to hint at the appearance of a fan-favorite villain.

Among the side quests displayed on the map, there was a mysterious green diamond with an eye inside. Many fans concluded that this could be a hint for the inclusion of Mysterio. The colors and the eye match up, although some speculate that it could also be a reference to Doctor Strange.

Later in the trailer, another clue pointing towards Mysterio was shown. An unnamed character was seen standing in front of the same green colors while wearing purple clothes that align with Mysterio’s color scheme.

While it is not confirmed, the evidence suggests that Mysterio may indeed be one of the villains in Spider-Man 2. In the comics, Mysterio is one of Spider-Man’s earliest and most iconic foes, making his absence from the game thus far surprising.

The original Spider-Man game from Insomniac featured a wide array of villains, and it would be a major surprise if the sequel did not follow suit. Fans eagerly await the release of Spider-Man 2 to see which other villains will join the roster.
