After the highly successful launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, Bethesda’s sci-fi space title, Starfield, has received mixed reviews from players. However, Larian Studios, the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3, have come to Bethesda’s defense on social media.
Michael Douse, Director of Publishing at Larian Studios, disagreed with the claim that Bethesda lacks passion for their game. He stated that it is not true or fair to suggest that the average developer at Bethesda lacks passion. While some players may dislike the game, it is unfair to say that the developers didn’t care when making it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently a strong contender for game of the year, surpassing expectations. On the other hand, Starfield, while still an enjoyable experience, is not as flawless as Baldur’s Gate 3 and is considered a typical Bethesda game by many.
However, this does not justify insulting the developers, especially regarding their passion. Todd Howard and his team have expressed their excitement and the effort they put into launching Starfield.
Furthermore, there are still exciting developments to come for Starfield. Modders will receive a creation tool kit next year, allowing them to unleash their creativity. While no information has been released about Baldur’s Gate 3 DLCs, fans are already speculating and sharing their ideas.
