Diablo 4 players are growing increasingly dissatisfied with the dungeon objectives in the game and are now calling on the developers to make some changes. One player, JavascriptDeveloper, expressed their frustration on Reddit on Sep. 18, stating that they couldn’t stand the fact that they couldn’t carry two cubes at the same time anymore.
This discontented Diablo fan went on to suggest that dungeon objectives should be completely removed, labeling the mechanic as “awful.” The rest of the community echoed this sentiment and agreed with the player’s viewpoint.
Another player argued that less is more, proposing that if the developers allowed players to tackle the dungeon in their own preferred way, it would enhance the overall experience of the game.
Supporting this idea, another player pointed out that it shouldn’t matter whether a player wants to rush through bosses or take their time eliminating all the trash mobs, as it ultimately comes down to personal prioritization. If a player chooses to boss rush, they sacrifice experience points for loot.
The main issue, according to fans, is the excessive backtracking required in every dungeon. This becomes particularly frustrating when Diablo 4 tasks players with delivering two objects to a pedestal, but they can only carry one at a time. Consequently, players are forced to backtrack to previous locations to retrieve the second object.
This unnecessary backtracking consumes a significant amount of time and detracts from the enjoyment of battling enemies and experiencing the exciting aspects of Diablo 4. Therefore, players are demanding the removal of these restrictions to have the freedom to explore dungeons as they please.
