The most unique association came from the word “antidisestablishmentarianism,” resulting in a quest for a shiny Gible.
Some associations were heartwarming, such as “friend” leading to a Snom hunt, or “cauliflower” inspiring a Jumpluff quest. While Scarlet and Violet offer hoards that make shiny hunting easier for certain species, not all Pokémon appear in hoards. Additionally, searching for specific sub-variations of a species can be even more challenging.
Unlucky commenters were assigned difficult Pokémon to hunt, leaving them with a greater challenge. One commenter received the task of hunting a Dudunsparce after mentioning the infamous long name of a Welsh town, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Some commenters had already completed their hunts for the suggested Pokémon, showcasing the dedication of the Pokémon fanbase to these time-consuming endeavors.
