Dota 2 Ranked Match Turns into Accusations of Account Selling

superadmin

During a recent Dota 2 ranked match, Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann found himself accused of selling his account. Playing alongside Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, KheZu’s performance as Legion Commander in the offlane didn’t go well, resulting in a one-sided defeat. Arteezy expressed his frustration with his teammates, leading KheZu to bring up the match in a DreamLeague Season 21 interview.

In the game, Arteezy played as Necrophos in the mid lane while KheZu struggled with a zero-to-eight score. Despite being flamed during the match, KheZu acknowledged that Arteezy was right to call out the poor performance and even apologized for his own lackluster showing.

During the interview, Arteezy revealed that he had briefly entertained the idea that KheZu might have sold his account due to his terrible plays. However, KheZu explained that he had recently returned from a three-month break from Dota 2, making him slightly rusty. Additionally, the supports, Dark Willow and Treant Protector, also underperformed in the game.

DreamLeague Season 21 drew top Dota 2 teams from around the world to Europe, creating intense competition even in ranked games. Professional players frequently play with and against each other in between scrims, adding spice to their encounters.

Overall, the match served as a reminder that even skilled players can have off days, and accusations of account selling may not always be justified.
