Runes to be Nerfed in Upcoming League of Legends Patch
Riot Games is preparing significant changes for an upcoming League of Legends patch that aims to address the issues with Durability Patch 2.0 and nerf runes extensively. Spideraxe, a reliable source, has revealed that nine runes will undergo major adjustments, including popular keystones and secondary runes like Taste of Blood.
Here are the rune changes players can expect:
Rune | Old Damage | New Damage |
---|---|---|
Arcane Comet | 30-100 (+35% bAD and 20% AP) | 30-130 (+10% bAD +5% AP) |
Dark Harvest | 20-60 (+25% bAD and +15% AP) | 20-80 (+10% bAD +5% AP) |
Electrocute | 30-180 (+40% bAD and +25% AP) | 30-220 (+10% bAD and +5% AP) |
First Strike | Bonus damage reduced from 9% to 8% | No change |
Fleet Footwork | Heal reduced from 10-100 (+30% bAD and +20% AP) | Heal reduced from 10-125 (+10% bAD and +5% AP) |
Press the Attack | Damage increased from 40-180 to 40-220 | Damage amp reduced from 8-12% to 8% flat |
Summon Aery | Damage changed from 10-40 (+15% bAD and +10% AP) | Damage changed from 10-50 (+10% bAD and +5% AP) |
Taste of Blood | Heal changed from 16-30 (+15% bAD and +8% AP) | Heal changed from 16-40 (+10% bAD and +5% AP) |
Waterwalking | MS reduced from 25 to 10 | Adaptive for increased from 5-30 to 13-30 |
The intention behind these changes is to reduce the overall power level of runes, making them more of a flavorful addition rather than a source of excessive burst damage. These adjustments will particularly target AP scalings, preventing mages from easily obliterating their opponents.
While some players on Reddit express concerns about the significant nerfs to runes, it’s important to note that these changes affect all runes across the board. The goal is to decrease damage output throughout the game, especially in the early stages. However, it’s worth mentioning that runes like Conqueror and Lethal Tempo remain untouched, despite being considered problematic by some players.
Many players agree that these changes are necessary and a step in the right direction for League of Legends. The game has been in need of such adjustments for some time now.
It is yet to be confirmed in which patch these changes will be implemented, but many speculate that it will be Patch 13.20. We eagerly await further updates from the developers at Riot Games.
