As Counter-Strike 2 approaches, players bid farewell to CS:GO, making way for the new game. In a recent tweet, ESL revealed the astonishing number of hours s1mple, the true GOAT, has spent playing CS:GO. With a total of 23,476 hours, averaging around six hours a day since the game’s release in 2012, s1mple’s dedication is truly remarkable.
S1mple, a Ukrainian player, has been an active participant in the CS:GO scene since 2013. He gained recognition in 2014 and 2015 while playing for HellRaisers and FlipSid3 Tactics, respectively. Since 2016, he has been a key player for Natus Vincere, leading the team to numerous victories, including the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
Regarded as the best player in CS:GO history, s1mple has achieved remarkable feats. He is the only pro to have secured first place in HLTV’s Best of the Year three times, winning the prestigious award in 2022, 2021, and 2018.
While spending almost three years solely on CS:GO in the past 11 years is impressive, it is expected from a player of s1mple’s caliber. As CS2 is set to launch on Sept. 27, it is highly likely that s1mple will continue to dominate the game and lead the race for the most hours played.
