Blizzard has responded to player feedback and announced buffs for Hunters in the upcoming World of Warcraft Dragonflight Patch 10.2. These changes aim to make Hunters more valuable in raids by introducing a new raid buff called Hunter’s Mark. This buff will increase all damage taken by five percent, but only when the target is above 80 percent health.
According to Blizzard, Hunter’s Mark will have a 20-second cooldown if applied during combat, while there will be no cooldown if applied out of combat or before a pull. The intention is for this damage bonus to be used strategically and not frequently moved around.
It’s important to note that Hunter’s Mark will still have a global cooldown and cannot be stacked on the same target. This means that only one Hunter will bring value to a raid night.
While it’s great to see Blizzard addressing player concerns, some players feel that this buff is underwhelming. They believe it is a temporary solution to appease the community rather than a significant improvement to Hunter utility.
Players are now speculating whether Shamans will be the next class to lose their raid spot. However, Shamans still have valuable abilities such as Windfury Totem for Enhancement Shamans and Spirit Link for Restoration Shamans.
In addition to the Hunter buffs, Patch 10.2 will introduce a new zone called Emerald Dream, a new raid called Amirdrassil, and various balancing changes.
