In Honkai: Star Rail, players are limited to friends chat and support characters for co-op features. However, a recent survey has sparked discussions among the community about what they actually want from a co-op experience.

While the survey doesn’t specifically ask for ideas on activities, players have been brainstorming potential co-op features they would like to see. One popular suggestion is the introduction of raids or raid bosses that can be fought in teams of four or even multiple teams. This concept would be similar to co-op domains in Genshin Impact, where players select characters and take turns fighting.
Another idea is for each player to individually fight the boss, but with the boss’s health bar shared among all players. This design, seen in games like Summoner’s War, is considered the best for raids by players.
Many players emphasize the importance of having engaging content in co-op rather than just the ability to play together. Unlike Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail’s open world lacks activities, so dedicated co-op features are desired.
Players also express concerns about potential trolling in co-op experiences. They don’t want gameplay to be negatively affected by connection issues or disruptive behavior from other players. To address this, HoYoverse needs to ensure that the co-op content is fast-paced and engaging, potentially implementing timers for each player’s turn.
It’s worth noting that HoYoverse previously had similar co-op content in Honkai Impact 3rd, so there’s hope for new and enjoyable co-op features in Honkai: Star Rail.
