XDefiant Public Test Sessions Underwhelm as Players Call for Delay

Derek Morgan

The latest public test sessions for Ubisoft’s upcoming FPS game, XDefiant, have left players disappointed and calling for a delay. During the second beta test on September 27, players expressed their dissatisfaction with various aspects of the game, leading to a wave of criticism on social media.

One major concern raised by players is the poor hit registration in XDefiant, which is particularly problematic for a first-person shooter. Additionally, players have noticed that movement has been nerfed since the previous beta, making it difficult to control half of the available weapons. Spawns and sprint speeds have also been flagged as issues, further adding to the frustration.

Given the overwhelming feedback from the community, some players are urging Ubisoft to delay the release of XDefiant in order to address these issues and ensure a more polished and enjoyable gaming experience. While the game was initially expected to launch between July and August of this year, Ubisoft now has the opportunity to push back the release date and make necessary improvements.

With the current state of the game, it is clear that Ubisoft has a lot on their plate. XDefiant, touted as a potential “Call of Duty-killer,” may require additional development time to compete with Activision’s dominant FPS franchise. The second public test session has highlighted crucial areas that need attention, and it remains to be seen whether Ubisoft will take player feedback into account and make the necessary changes.

Overall, the XDefiant community’s disappointment and calls for a delay indicate that Ubisoft has work to do in order to deliver a satisfying gaming experience. By taking the time to address the issues raised during the public test sessions, Ubisoft can potentially create a game that stands out in the highly competitive FPS market.
