Tarik, the former CS:GO pro and popular VALORANT content creator, has caused a stir in both the Counter-Strike and VALORANT communities with his recent statement. During a livestream on September 28 and 29, Tarik expressed his preference for CS2 over VALORANT, stating that he finds CS2 to be more enjoyable.
After retiring from CS:GO in 2021, Tarik became a prominent figure in the VALORANT community through his gameplay streams and VCT watch parties. However, it seems that his love for CS has been reignited with the release of CS2. He plans to dedicate more time to CS2 in the foreseeable future.
While Tarik’s opinion may have surprised VALORANT fans, he is not alone in his shift towards CS2. Other former CS:GO pros who transitioned to VALORANT, such as Hiko and steel, have also streamed more CS2 than Riot Games’ FPS in the past month.
Despite his newfound enthusiasm for CS2, Tarik remains connected to the VALORANT professional scene and is unlikely to completely abandon the game. However, with the VCT break, he will likely reduce his VALORANT streaming hours in favor of CS2.
