Timewalking dungeons in World of Warcraft are already great, but can they be even more convenient? Players are suggesting that Timewalking vendors should always be available and located at their usual spots, regardless of whether or not the Timewalking event for their respective expansion is currently active. Currently, these vendors disappear once the event ends, forcing players to wait until the next rotation. This system is seen as counterintuitive and frustrating, and players believe that the vendors should be accessible at all times.
During Timewalking events, players can earn Timewarped Badges, which can be used to purchase pets, mounts, and other rewards thematically associated with past expansions. However, if a player wants to buy a reward from a different expansion than the one currently active, they have to wait until that specific Timewalking event occurs. This creates a fear of missing out (fomo) and encourages players to stay subscribed. Additionally, players cannot hold onto quest items from previous events to earn more badges later on.
One suggestion is to have the vendors available in the Caverns of Time in Tanaris when their expansion is not active, and then have them appear in the world during their respective Timewalking events. This would provide consistent access to the vendors while still maintaining the thematic connection to the past expansions.
Currently, WoW players have the opportunity to catch up on their Timewalking needs during the Turbulent Timeways event, which features a new Timewalking event every week for the next five weeks.
Expansion | Time | Score |
---|---|---|
Burning Crusade | 00:15 | 1000 |
Wrath of the Lich King | 00:20 | 1200 |
Cataclysm | 00:25 | 1500 |
Mists of Pandaria | 00:30 | 1800 |
Warlords of Draenor | 00:35 | 2000 |
Timewalking dungeons offer easy level-ups and high-level gear, making them valuable for all players. With the suggested change to always accessible vendors, Timewalking would become even more player-friendly and convenient.
