Polish CS:GO legend, Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, is making a comeback in the competitive scene. He has joined GamerLegion, the team that surprised everyone by reaching the grand final of the BLAST Paris Major before losing to Team Vitality.
However, GamerLegion’s roster underwent significant changes after their defeat in the final. In-game leader Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek left for MOUZ, and Ivan “iM” Mihai joined Natus Vincere. Since then, GamerLegion has been rebuilding their team but has struggled to replicate their success at the Paris Major.
While Snax is undoubtedly a CS:GO icon, it remains to be seen if he is the best choice for GamerLegion in 2023. The 30-year-old player hasn’t performed impressively since 2019, and his recent HLTV rating of 1.04 over the past year doesn’t inspire much confidence.
GamerLegion decided to sign Snax after their decent performance in ESL Pro League Season 18. They secured victories against Greyhound and Ninjas in Pyjamas but were eliminated by FURIA in the group stage. Losses to Movistar Riders and Astralis further impacted their ranking. Although they currently sit at ninth place in the HLTV rankings, this is largely due to their performance at the Paris Major, and their recent results may cause them to drop in the rankings.
In conclusion, while Snax brings experience to the team, it remains uncertain if he can help GamerLegion achieve their goals. Their recent performance suggests that they may need to make further changes to their roster in order to regain their previous success.
