Players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet should be cautious during the final battle as a bug has been discovered that can potentially crash the game. The bug occurs when facing the Paradise Protection Protocol and can be triggered in a specific way, but it is easily avoidable if players are aware of the conditions.
A tweet shared by Mattyoukhana_ highlights how the crash is caused, based on feedback from various players. In version 2.0.1 of the game, hovering over the fourth, fifth, or sixth slots of the active Pokémon team while having Koraidon (Scarlet) or Miraidon (Violet) registered in the Pokédex can lead to a game crash during the boss fight.
Matt replicated the bug to demonstrate its occurrence and mentioned that it has not yet been fixed. Players expressed confusion over the specific triggering elements required for the bug to manifest. Some speculated that it could be related to code changes made in preparation for the release of The Indigo Mask DLC.
It is possible that the upcoming Area Zero, which may serve as an arena for the second DLC, could introduce party restrictions that interfere with the codes of The Teal Mask DLC released on September 13. Matt expects the developer to address this issue in an October update or alongside the release of The Indigo Disk DLC, although the release date for the latter has not been announced by Nintendo.
At the time of writing, it is unclear whether Game Freak has acknowledged this bug.
