The latest update for Baldur’s Gate 3 has brought about several changes to the game. While most of the gameplay adjustments have been well-received by players, there is one particular change that has left them disappointed. The adorable Sphynx character, known as His Majesty, has undergone a transformation and now has fur. This alteration has not been well-received by the community.
One player took to Reddit to express their heartbreak over the change. They lamented the fact that His Majesty is no longer the shriveled little skin cat they had grown fond of. Other players joined in, expressing their anger and demanding that the developers fix this issue immediately.
Some players speculate that this change was made to differentiate His Majesty from another cat character in the game called Steelclaw, who can be found on the walls of Moonrise Towers. Steelclaw is a fan favorite as it hunts down Mind Flayer Tadpoles. However, with the new visual changes to His Majesty, some players have now set their sights on Steelclaw as their new enemy.
While the author of this article may not understand the fuss, it is clear that many players loved His Majesty’s original appearance and believe that there is room in the game for both Sphinxes. Unless the developers decide to revert the changes or modders step in to rectify the situation, His Majesty will remain a furry and furious monarch in Baldur’s Gate 3.
