1. Currently, there is no manual search option to add friends by name. You can only add friends if you have played with them, are in the same room, or are already friends on platforms like Steam or PlayStation Network.
2. To make things easier, it’s recommended to add friends on Steam or PSN first. Once you’re friends on these platforms, you can connect in the game.
3. If you want to be friends exclusively in-game, you can create a Team ID by clicking on Team Battle and then Create Team ID at the bottom right of your screen under the play tab. Share the Team ID with your friend, and they can search for it using the search team ID button.
4. Once your friend is in the room, you can add them to your friends list by clicking on their character, then player info, and finally buddy invite.
