This unkillable NPC appears during random robberies in GTA Online. A Reddit user encountered this NPC and found that no matter how many times they ran over the thief, they couldn’t eliminate them. The only way to finally kill the robber was by using a gun.
While some may think this NPC was intentionally designed to be invincible, a Reddit user provided a plausible explanation. According to their theory, the NPC cannot be harmed until they draw their weapon. The footage uploaded by the player supports this theory, as the NPC was only killed once they pulled out their gun.
Personally, I have also encountered this bug in GTA Online. Every time I managed to kill the unkillable NPC, it was after they had drawn their weapon. This theory made me realize that the bug might not be due to server issues but rather a specific trigger condition.
Although encountering bugs like this in GTA Online can be frustrating, we can only hope that Rockstar Games will address and fix them, especially for the upcoming GTA 6. On a positive note, Rockstar’s partnership with Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM, might lead to official RP servers in the future.
